Construction crews are continuing work on the approach ramps leading to the overcrossing on both sides of E. Bidwell Street. The 475-foot-long, 12-foot-wide overcrossing is scheduled to open in October.

“The new overcrossing will create a safe passageway for cyclists and pedestrians across one of Folsom’s busiest roadways and will be a huge safety improvement,” says Parks & Recreation Director Robert Goss.  “The overcrossing will complete the final link of the Humbug Willow Creek Trail winding from El Dorado County to Folsom Boulevard.” 

Federal funding, including grants and stimulus funds, covers the approximate $2 million cost of the overcrossing.
